Personal

Melissa grew up in a Christian home, but struggled through her teen years until she experienced Christ's redemptive love through Young Life Ministries when she was 17. Melissa and her husband George were married in 2008 and enjoy learning more about each other and serving each other as husband and wife. Melissa and George welcomed their first child, Asher, into their home in 2010, and hope to have a large family, which may include adopting children in the future. In her free time, Melissa enjoys taking her Shar-Pei for a run, reading, hiking, scrapbooking, crocheting, baking, and spending time with friends and family.

Vision

Melissa believes in the positive influence of the community in which God places families, as well as in the healing power of connecting with other believers. Additionally, Melissa believes that true healing cannot take place without grasping the meaning of unconditional love and grace that comes from Christ alone.
